Fitness and nutrition are not black and white even though most consider them to be so. Many of us become frustrated with our diet because we feel as though we are unable to eat out, socialize, or indulge in anything we truly enjoy food wise. Healthy eating and diet plans can seem overwhelming to most because we give up everything we love.
Dieting and healthy eating does not require perfection. It instead requires consistency. The healthiest diet plans and most effective nutrition plans consist of research, consistency, sustainability, and patience.
So here is the good news; any diet plan should be able to withstand desserts and a day off every once in a while—if yours can’t maybe it is time to re-evaluate. This applies year round and especially during the holidays. For those people who have worked all year on their health, the holidays can be very stressful because they are afraid of blowing all of their hard work in a few short weeks. The fact is this is not going to happen. The same goes for the couch potatoes; you can’t start a fitness plan and expect results in three days because it takes follow through.
