Spread a Little Sunshine

Hospice volunteers warm hearts, produce smiles and brighten the day. Our volunteers range from young adults to senior citizens and come from all walks of life. They support hospice for many different reasons however, the shared theme is making a positive difference in the lives of others.

Volunteer Opportunities:

  • Friendly visitor to patients in homes and nursing homes
  • Relieve the family/caregiver for an hour or two
  • Office support for hospice staff (filing, answering phones, mailings)
  • Greet families/patients at the Hospice House
  • Help staff with one-on-one patient care at the Hospice House
  • Share your talents: baking, music, sewing, woodworking
  • Lawn care for home patients
  • Massage therapy (requires certification)
  • Pet therapy (requires special training and certification)
  • No One Dies Alone (NODA)
  • We Honor Veterans

Being a hospice volunteer can be a very rewarding experience.  Our volunteers are as valuable to us as our employees, so becoming a volunteer takes a few steps to start you on your way.  Below are a few forms that must be completed.
