Our Intensive Care Unit staff is expertly skilled to deliver quality care with compassion. We are intensely focused on each patient’s care while providing support for family and friends.
ICU receives visitors 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We ask that you respect the privacy of other patients and family members by stepping out to the waiting area during shift change reporting times from 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Visitors may return to the patient’s room immediately following the completion of reports.
We treat a number of serious conditions and diseases, including but not limited to:
- Bypass Surgery (CABG)
- Post PTCA
- Carotid Stenting
- Myocardial Infarction
- Carotid Endarterectomy
Our new 25,000 square-foot Intensive Care Unit is nearly complete. It will house the most advanced medical technology, and was designed with patient comfort and care in mind. The ICU’s round design ensures nurses have a clear line-of-site to their patients – and centrally positions nursing stations so staff can work bedside to better monitor and document patient conditions.
Each of the 18 rooms includes a window to the outside, and is nearly twice the square footage of the previous ICU rooms, which were built in 1975. Overhead booms for critical medical equipment allows for freer movement of patients and easier access for nursing staff and doctors than the traditional “wall” junctions.
