Our Certified Occupational Therapists help you resume activities of daily living (ADLs). We’ll help you return to life roles that have been interrupted by injury or disease. You’ll learn effective methods of approaching ADLs differently, including use of special equipment for lower body dressing, managing medication in the presence of declining memory or thought processes, and retraining to manage loss of hand or arm function due to stroke or other disabilities.
If you suffer from or have increase risk of developing lymphedema, chronic swelling of the arms, legs, trunk, or head and neck, our Certified Lymphedema Therapist will help manage your condition through Complete Decongestive Therapy, which may include manual lymph drainage techniques, compression wrapping, skin care and exercise.
Here at Hutch Regional, we offer a non-surgical approach to rehabilitate dysfunctions of the pelvis. Pelvic floor physical therapy can be utilized to treat urinary or fecal incontinence, post-operative weakness, and/or pelvic pain. Our physical therapist also specializes in caring for pregnant or post-partum mothers.
Treatment may include manual therapy techniques to relax tight muscles, therapeutic exercises to stretch and strengthen muscles, modality treatments for pain management techniques, biofeedback treatments to improve body awareness, patient education regarding posture, body mechanics, diet, bowel and bladder health, and postnatal fitness.

At Hutch Regional, you will be in a private treatment room with our pelvic health specialist for the evaluation. A complete review of your medical history and subjective reporting will be taken. A movement assessment will be performed and, if indicated, an internal pelvic floor examination will be performed. The internal pelvic floor examination is done intravaginally and is used to identify how well the muscles inside your pelvis are activating. Once the examination is complete, you and the therapist will go over the results, establish goals for the following treatment sessions, and answer any questions that you may have. Each treatment session is individualized to your specific needs.
The initial evaluation takes approximately 60 minutes. Each follow-up treatment will last between 45-60 minutes. Each session will be one on one the entire time for patient focused care.
This is a difficult question to answer without completing the initial evaluation. The number of visits vary based on the individual’s needs and progress. Patients are typically seen 1-2 times per week each week for 6-8 weeks depending on your specific diagnosis.
Our skilled Physical Therapists help rehabilitate and provide education to prevent disability following disease, injury, surgery, or loss of limb. We work hard to improve your strength and mobility by developing a treatment plan custom designed for you. We use therapeutic procedures to stretch and strengthen muscles and encourage return of motion. Our goal is to restore maximum movement and function to help you return to the lifestyle you desire.
Our certified and licensed speech-language pathologists are trained to evaluate and treat disorders that affect your speech, language, cognition and swallowing. Using personalized treatment plans we help you restore or improve your communication abilities and your cognitive function.
Our Speech Therapists are specialists in the evaluation and rehabilitation of swallowing disorders. If a patient’s condition requires it, the Speech-Language Pathologist or Physician may recommend a Modified Barium Swallow Study for diagnostic evaluation of swallow function.
