Hutchinson Regional Medical Center Designated as a Diagnostic Imaging Center of Excellence® (DICOE) by ACR
Hutchinson Regional Medical Center (HRMC) is proud to announce that it has been awarded the designation of Diagnostic Imaging Center of Excellence® (DICOE) by the American College of Radiology (ACR). This distinction is a significant achievement that recognizes the highest standards in medical imaging practices and diagnostic care.
The DICOE designation goes beyond standard accreditation, acknowledging HRMC’s commitment to excellence across multiple levels. The evaluation process includes a comprehensive assessment of the entire medical imaging enterprise, from structural integrity to clinical outcomes. This recognition highlights the excellent patient care that is at the heart of everything we do.

To be eligible for the DICOE designation, a facility must be accredited by the ACR in all imaging modalities they provide, and must participate in key quality improvement initiatives, including the Dose Index Registry®, General Radiology Improvement Database, as well as the Image Wisely® and Image Gently® campaigns. These programs are designed to ensure the highest standards of safety and quality in imaging.
The ACR, founded in 1924, is one of the largest and most influential medical associations in the United States. The ACR devotes its resources to making imaging and radiation therapy safe, effective and accessible to those who need it. Its 38,000 members include radiologists, radiation oncologists, medical physicists, interventional radiologists, and nuclear medicine physicians.
