Hutchinson Regional Medical Center’s Information Systems Team Earns CHIME’s Digital Health Most Wired Level 9 Recognition
Hutchinson Regional Medical Center’s Information Systems Team (IS) has achieved a distinguished honor in digital healthcare excellence by earning an Acute Level 9 designation in the 2024 Digital Health Most Wired Survey conducted by the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME). This recognition places Hutchinson Regional Medical Center (HRMC) among the top healthcare providers dedicated to leveraging technology for superior patient care and operational excellence.
“Being recognized with this award is a testament to the progress of the whole team at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center as we continue on our journey toward excellence.” said Chris Duskin, Director of Application Architecture at HRMC. “Our ongoing use of technology gives us the ability to improve patient outcomes, be more efficient in our daily operations and keep our environment secure so that we can continue to make the best healthcare accessible to everyone in our community.”
The CHIME Digital Health Most Wired Survey assesses nearly 48,000 healthcare facilities, focusing on how technology improves critical areas like data analytics, infrastructure, population health, and patient engagement. HRMC’s achievement of Level 9 indicates advanced adoption and integration of these technologies, setting it apart as a digital health leader within the industry.
“We are proud to recognize your organization’s exceptional dedication to digital health excellence,” said CHIME President and CEO, Russ Branzell. “Your pioneering performance in the industry not only inspires other organizations by example, but also provides patients around the world with better care.”
In the face of escalating challenges like increasing cybersecurity threats, evolving care models, staffing shortages, and budget constraints, the urgency for revolutionizing healthcare through technology continues to grow. The next 30 years will bring profound changes, driven by emerging technologies. Advancements in digital health—facilitated by fully interoperable data, and secure platforms—will significantly transform the landscape of care.
“To aid your future planning, we have designed the Digital Health Most Wired program to provide insights into best practices, HIT adoption patterns, and digital health market trends,” Branzell added. The Digital Health Most Wired survey and recognition program serves as a comprehensive “Digital Health Check-up” for healthcare organizations globally. As success in digital health increasingly influences patient care quality, the CHIME Digital Health Most Wired survey reflects the progress of leading healthcare providers as they reshape healthcare for the future. This achievement extends beyond information technology, symbolizing a collective organizational commitment to enhancing healthcare through advanced digital health strategies.
The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives serves a global network of over 3,000 healthcare IT leaders, fostering a collaborative environment to share insights and develop best practices. HRMC is proud to be part of this transformative movement, and we remain committed to advancing our digital health capabilities to benefit the communities we serve.
