News » Behavioral Health Unit Remodel
The Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center will be closed for remodeling on March 10th and reopening on or before July 1st, 2021.
We apologize for this brief inconvenience as we create a state-of-the-art, patient centered unit. While we renovate our space, please consider using other Inpatient Behavioral Health Units within the region.
We are looking forward to working with you again after the unit reopens.
The unit will be temporarily closed for remodeling of the nursing station, patient rooms, and common areas from March 10th and will be reopening on/before July 1st, 2021.
The Behavioral Health Units at Ascencion Via Chrisiti in Wichita, Salina Regional Medical Center, Prairie View Hospital in Newton, and Newton Medical Center are nearby facilities which are currently open. These facilities may be contacted directly if seeking inpatient care for patients with mental health disorders.
The remodel will NOT affect the operations of available emergency services nor the Horizons Mental Health Center Crisis Department. Patients in need of emergency care should continue to seek the most immediately available treatment by going to the closest emergency room or calling Horizons Crisis at 1-800-794-0163 for further assistance.
You may contact Horizons Mental Health Center’s Crisis Department at 1-800-794-0163 for further assistance.
You may reach out to the Hutchinson Regional Medical Center Behavioral Health Unit Director, Elizabeth Mansur at mansurea@hutchregional.com or Medical Director, Veronica Amey-Perrin at amey-perrinv@hmhc.com if you have additional questions.
