Dr. Nick Baldetti Named Chief Quality Officer for Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System

Dr. Nick Baldetti has been named Chief Quality Officer for Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System (HRHS). In this role, Dr. Baldetti will coordinate with executive team members to set and monitor system-wide goals for all quality initiatives while promoting HRHS’s High Reliability Journey.

Dr. Baldetti received a bachelor’s degree from Wayne State University in Wayne State Nebraska and dual Master’s degrees from Pittsburg State University. In 2020, Dr. Baldetti earned a doctorate degree in Business Administration from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.

Ken Johnson, President and CEO of HRHS, said Dr. Baldetti joins Hutchinson Regional with impeccable credentials that are a perfect fit for the position he is about to assume. Currently, Dr. Baldetti serves as Director of Healthcare Initiatives for McPherson College and prior to that was Public Health Director and Health Officer for the Reno County Health Department.

Simultaneously, Dr. Baldetti has served as an Assistant Professor for the University of Kansas Medical School’s College of Population Health, as special faculty member for the Creighton University’s Medical School, and as an instructor for the Wichita State University College of Health Professions.

Also, Dr. Baldetti is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, the American Economic Association, and the Academy of Management.

Dr. Baldetti and his wife Kylee are the parents of three children; Blayne, Liam, and Lahna.

Johnson said Dr. Baldetti will hit the ground running and have an immediate positive impact on Hutchinson Regional. “Nick’s extensive and varied healthcare experience, along with his signature energy makes him an ideal fit within the Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System family,” Johnson said. “He has a prolific history in Reno County, and he deeply knows our community, having partnered with Hutchinson Regional during the toughest days of the COVID-19 Pandemic. I am very pleased he will bring his expertise back to Hutchinson.”

The Hutchinson Regional Medical Foundation (HRMF) has launched a housing program to encourage healthcare providers to live in the communities they serve. The program offers housing incentives for providers who commit to a three-year stay in Reno County. The program, currently extended to doctors, advanced practice providers, and therapists, aims to enhance local healthcare access and boost the local economy. The first recipient, Dr. Doug Moore, will begin serving the community in August.

Hutchinson YMCA & Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System Partner on Community-Defining Project

Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System (HRHS) and The Greater Wichita YMCA have announced a partnership to build a new 75,000-square-foot YMCA facility in Hutchinson, KS. This state-of-the-art center, to be located on land donated by HRHS, will replace the current Y branch and aims to strengthen community health and well-being. The new YMCA will feature an aquatics center, indoor track, gymnasium, expanded gymnastics center, fitness studios, community room, and a childcare center. Groundbreaking is planned for later this year.
